Amazon launched a prime music streaming service live in UK

Amazon has launched a music streaming service just weeks after Apple took on industry-leader Spotify.

Prime Music offers Amazon Prime members access to more than one million songs at no additional cost to their annual subscription.

However, the selection of music is significantly smaller than that of their rivals - both Spotify and Apple Music offer catalogues featuring around 30 million songs.
Amazon Prime costs £79 per year and gives customers cloud photo storage, video streaming and e-book lending.

AppNexus is getting back into video ads with an ad-buying product

AppNexus has become one of the big names in ad tech, but CEO Brian O’Kelley (pictured above) recalled that back in 2012, the company had to pull back in a major category — namely, video.

While AppNexus built its business around display ads, O’Kelley said the company also offered “basic video capabilities” at the time. Unfortunately, due its growth, in his view AppNexus was faced with “a really hard decision — either be mediocre in both, or make a choice.”
